Valencia CF is looking to add two midfielders to their squad after the departures of Andre Gomes, Danilo and recently Javi Fuego. As you can see three midfielders left the team and only one arrived, so Valencia CF is looking to add a bit more depth to that area.
One of those players is Mario Suarez who currently plays for Watford, he is a defensive midfielder best known for his playing time in Atletico Madrid, he's the sort of average player that Valencia CF can get on the cheap who's career is on its last legs and is meant to add depth and some experience for one or two seasons.
Another target in Hernanes who currently plays for Juventus, he hasn't celebrated himself in Juventus and has featured sporadically, coming in mostly as a substitute, but again this is the kind of cheap player that Valencia CF can afford who will add depth to the squad.
Its clear that the idea is to create a team that isn't going to be relegated, stabilize at the top half of the table this season and in 3-4 seasons possibly compete for a Champions league spot. After last season's dance with relegation, the management wants to avoid being relegated this season.
Raul Albiol might be the only possible signing that will actually add quality to the team and boost the team's aspirations this season, to go from avoiding relegation to possibly getting 6th place and entering the Europa league, but at this point its unlikely that Valencia CF is going to be able to sign him and the alternative looks to be Sidnei.
