Valencia CF vs AS Monaco Match Preview

The new season is about to start for Valencia CF ladies and gentlemen and its in the champions league against AS Monaco in order to determine which of these two teams are going to feature in the group stages of the champions league. Remember that just featuring in the group stages brings in massive amounts of money, in fact if you manage to win all your matches in the group, you are going to be at least 20 million euros richer.

That is of course just the direct benefits you gain, the indirect benefits are obviously better visibility, sponsors getting interested, more fans and more notoriety. Of course you also gain an added respect as a club, players are more willing to join a champions league club and are of course more willing to stay as well.

So tomorrow's match is extremely important for Valencia CF due to all the listed reasons above and its key that Valencia CF win the first match, even though its going to be very difficult as AS Monaco are a great team and have been doing really well in the French league.

The whole Valencia CF squad is ready, Andre Gomes has recovered, and he will feature tomorrow, Antonio Barragan has recovered as well and everyone else is fully fit and ready! The only player who isn't with Valencia CF is Nicolas Otamendi as he scrambles to try and find himself a new club.

With Manchester United dropping their pursuit of him, he's been talking with Manchester City in order to join with them and initial reports suggested a 40 million euros, plus Mangala on loan at Valencia CF, but with Mangala having two great games at the start of the season, Manchester City are now backing off of that deal and are supposedly ready to pay the 50 million buyout clause, which would only amount to around 30 million euros, since supposedly Valencia CF still haven't paid most off the 30 million euros for Alvaro Negredo. So Valencia CF are going to get around 25 to 30 million euros with the new deal.

In the absence of Nicolas Otamendi Valencia CF coach Nuno Santo has been playing with Ruben Vezo and Shkodran Mustafi as the central defensive duo, with Barragan and Gaya on the wings.
