Eliaquim Mangala joins Valencia CF

Manchester City defender Eliaquim Mangala has joined Valencia CF on a one year loan deal with the option for Valencia CF to purchase the player at the end of the loan deal.

I don't know how much the purchase option is for Eliaquim Mangala, but its unlikely that Valencia CF would be able to afford it either way, not unless we miraculously end up qualifying for Champions League, but that's just wishful thinking on my part.

Eliaquim Mangala is already in Valencia and has passed the medical tests and he'll be available for squad selection for Valencia's next match.

This is a good deal, sure he didn't establish himself at Manchester City, but this is a young player who can improve and of course the Spanish league I think would suit him more, I think he is going to be much better in Spain. In combination with Garay we'd have a solid defensive duo, but the issue is this is a makeshift defense and the duo would need quite some time to gel together.

Heck most of our team feels makeshift now with several players coming on loan and others having buyback clauses. I guess the objective is to basically survive this season and then worry about the next after.

Another amazing news is that we could possibly loan out Aymen Abdennour to Chelsea FC, supposedly Chelsea FC wanted to hijack the Garay signing and tried to swoop in the player, but he refused their offer and chose Valencia CF, but don't jump from your seats, he chose VCF because his family in in Spain and he's wanted to return to Spain for 2 years now, finding life hard in Russia. So essentially he and his family want to be in Spain and VCF is the best option for him.

Chelsea FC lost out on several players they wanted to purchase, so I guess in a move of desperation they've reached out to Valencia CF for a loan deal for Aymen. He was put on the transfer numerous times, but pulled back and then finally placed on it after last match, since he had two terrible games which he was mostly to blame for the losses. Pako lost all confidence in him and demanded he be gotten rid of, as well as asking for defensive signings.
