Valencia CF team will be traveling to Monaco for the second leg in the qualification match against AS Monaco for the Champions league group stages. The first match was at the Mestalla where Valencia CF managed to secure a very good 3-1 victory, but that away goal AS Monaco scored could end up being crucial, so Valencia CF are not safe, the team needs to score a goal in order to really be safe.
Valencia CF is coming to this match after a scoreless draw against Rayo Vallecano in the first match of La Liga. Nuno Santo decided to rest few of the players who played against Monaco, while others were suspended due to accumulation of yellow cards from the previous season.
This means that Daniel Parejo, Sofiane Feghouli and Jose Luis Gaya are back in the squad and are all probably going to start. Enzo Perez and Paco Alcacer were given a rest against Rayo and are likely to return to the starting eleven.
Valencia CF is a bit short at the back with the departure of Nicolas Otamendi, but the club is searching really hard for a proper replacement, although the team would have to play with the same central defenders, that is going to be 3 matches in less than 10 days for our central defense, hopefully they are rested enough, Nuno is likely to have given them at least 2 days rest.
AS Monaco are doing okay in the French league, they've had some departures and injuries that have kept them down recently, but they have 5 points from the last 3 matches which is okay. Lets hope their mediocre start continues with us as well, after that they can return to best form.
