Valencia CF wins for the 4th straight match in a row, tallying up good 12 points from the last 4 matches. Ever since the 1-0 loss to Malaga, Valencia CF have been in great form, playing a lot better, having more midfield control and most importantly securing their matches.
Big contribution to these great results has been Pablo Piatti, ever since he came back from injury he's been in top form and has contributed in all matches significantly and today was no different. Pablo Piatti scored both of Valencia's goals, and sure the first goal was a rather lucky one, it was deflected off of Real Sociedad defender and it went it, but a goal is a goal and he'll be happy with it.
Valencia CF were really comfortable in today's match, especially in the second half, but even before that the team created more chances and were more dangerous on the flanks and counter, with Real Sociedad failing to muster up any significant chances.
The first goal for Valencia CF would come after a throw in, the ball reached Parejo down the right wing, he moved forward a bit and shot the ball in the penalty area, with Pablo Piatti being at the right place. His shot was blocked, but the shot was deflected into the empty net with the goalkeeper having thrown himself in the wrong direction.
The second goal would come in a similar fashion, this time it was Sofiane Feghouli who received a long pass, he used his pace to race past a Real Sociedad defender and pass the ball into the penalty area where Piatti was waiting and he easily slotted the ball into the net.
After the two goal lead it was smooth sailing for Valencia CF, keeping control of the ball, attacking through the wings, though nothing too major. The coach Nuno Santo changed both the wingers, though a bit erroneously in my opinion didn't take out Daniel Parejo who could have gotten a yellow card and missed the next match against Atletico Madrid. Fortunately though he didn't get yellow carded and will be available for the next match.
