Preview Rayo Vallecano 1800hrs Saturday 13/12/14

Saturdays visitors  Rayo Vallecano.  We will soon be fed up with seeing them with 3 games in 2 weeks, they are currently sitting 11th in the table having lost 7 of their 14 games so far his season.

With our 1-2 victory there in the Copa Del Rey on 7th December, we can only hope that we can continue tomorrow and again on Tuesday when we meet them in the return match at the Mestalla. in the Copa Del Rey.

It looks like Rodrigo may be replaced by De Paul at long last. I think Rodrigo has had enough time now to improve his form but it is just not happening for him at the moment.  It seems to me that he and Paco have not really shown good form since they were picked to play for Spain.  I don't know why that is.

The Brazilian,  Leo Baptisto and Spanish striker, Alberto Bueno seem to be their main threats this season provided they play.  A victory is so important after what has been happening recently and another win on Tuesday should lift a few spirits.  Defeat in either game is not really an option.

Valencia CF Squad:
Goalkeepers: Alves, Yoel
Defenders: Barragan, Cancelo, Vezo, Mustafi, Otamendi, Gaya, Orban
Midfielders: Fuego, Gomes, Zuculini, Felipe, Gil, Feghouli, Piatti, De Paul
Forwards: Negredo, Moreno

Technical Details Valencia CF (probable setups):
Formation: 4-2-3-1
Line-up:
Diego; Barragan, Mustafi, Otamendi, Gaya; Fuego, Felipe, De Paul, Gomes, Piatti, Negredo.
Tactics: High defensive line, own half pressure, short passing, deep laying defensive midfielder, counter attacks.

Match Result:
Valencia CF 2-0 Rayo Vallecano

This is a must win for Valencia CF, else the team risks falling into a crisis and only bad things can happen from that. So here goes believing the team will win, after all we just beat Rayo in the cup, albeit luckily, but the team must react to the string of bad results and have a good game, which they win comfortably.
